Fifth Harmony have announced that the group will be going on hiatus.
In a lengthy post on Facebook the group said, āAfter six years going hard, non stop, we also realised that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavours.ā

Speculation has been rife for months that Fifth Harmony were going to split after their third album failed to perform as well as their previous two. It was the first release from the group since Camila Cabello left in December 2016.
Since leaving the group Cabello has established herself as a global chart star with her smash hit Havana. Her current single Never Be The Same is scaling the charts across the world.
In the statement posted by Fifth Harmony, they confirm they will be continuing with all of their planned tour dates for the rest of the year.
It remains to be seen if this is truly a hiatus or a split for the group. They’ve followed the similar path taken by One Direction who claimed they were going on ‘hiatus’ but years later there’s no sign of the group getting back together.
Fifth Harmony were formed during The X Factor US in 2012. To date the group has released three studio albums and 10 singles. Their 2016 hit Work From Home featuring Ty Dolla $ign launched them internationally and sold more than 5 million copies in the US.
