Fame Music and Coffee House Sessions launch Stripped Back

Coffee House Sessions and Fame Music have teamed up to launch Stripped Back, a competition set to bring back music in its purest form.

Previous winners of Fame Music competitions have gone on to be signed to major labels and doing residencies in famous clubs and Fame is binging the opportunity of a life-time to singer/songwriters in the UK.

Stripped Bak is all about finding the most talented acoustic artists in the country and giving them unique career opportunities. The competition is open to any singer songwriters in the UK, who are looking for a new way to get their music heard by the industry, increase their exposure and fanbase.

Stripped back launched on the 3rd March and prospective candidates can upload original tracks and an intro video on Fame Music’s website. Public voting starts on 28th March to select the core 25 tracks that will be judged by a panel of experts that will select the top 15 entries to upload a second track and perform live and an exclusive industry and media event in London.

The winner of Stripped Back will go on the Coffee House Sessions London tour and perform at ten independent coffee houses in London, which will include special performances from Nina Nesbitt.

The judges of Stripped back will be Nina Nesbitt, Huw Stephens and Eric Appapoulay.

Nina Nesbitt said “I have never done anything like this before so I am really excited, I am looking to find someone a bit different, someone who is going to shake it up.”

Eric Appapoulay added, “For me, it’s all about the music. No egos. There’s no room for egos. Concentrate on the creative. As a producer, I want to bring out the best in you and how do I achieve that? The best way is to have an understanding of the artists vision. I am looking for a singer that is going to blow me away. Someone who has that emotion and that sensitivity.”
Huw Stephens also commented “I love discovering new music and seeing new talent play live. This is an opportunity for some new talented songwriters to reach out and get some great experience. I look forward to hearing what’s on offer!”
