Download reveals more acts

Download festival has announced more acts such as Papa Roach, Rise To Remain, Gogol Bordello, Lit Escape The Fate and Blitz Kids. An additional 49 acts joins Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Rammstein.

Buckcherry are back for a third time this year and the early seventies rock starts Uriah Heep will make their Download debut. Also on this year’s bill are Grammy nominated nu metallers P.O.D. who released their new EP earlier this year. Fronted by Metallica’s bassist Jason Newsted the band Newsted will also make an appearance in Donington.

There will also be shows by a set of Scandinavian band’s such as Katatonia, Graveyard and Turisas. Japan’s Dir En Grey will also appear alongside US death metallers Nekrogoblikon, After The Burial, The Ghost Inside, Blacklist Royals and Red Fang.

Other acts announce Karnivool, Naked Flame, The Algorithm, Skin, Sacred Mother Tongue, Bury Tomorrow, Architects, Brutality Will Prevail, Empress, Crowns, Emperor Chung, Sonic Boom Six, States of Panic, Bleed From Within, Verses, Hill Valley High, Astroid Boys, I Divide, Rat Attack, Mordecai, Modestep, Hang The Bastard, Heart Of A Coward, Glamour Of The Kill, Silent Screams, Cytota, The First, Broken, Uncle Acid and The Dead Beats and more to be announced.

The festival is currently in the process of being awarded with a “Provider” mark from CredAbility in recognition of its disabled access systems and amenities. Download’s Access Team are continuing their work with local Derby based firm, CredAbility, to strive towards the Verified Accessible award which will be awarded to them after the event. For further information
