Denise Pearson will release her debut solo album Imprint on 1st June.
The former Five Star singer and The Voice UK contestant will release new single Free Fall on the same day. Imprint comes 30 years after Denise first hit the music scene as part of Five Star and is being called a ābiographical recordā.
Imprint is a mixture of sounds with Denise tackling R&B, Motown, Jazz and Pop sounds over the albumās 14 tracks. Deniseās sister Doris penned album track Short Lived Love whilst her 18-year-old daughter Hassa wrote Black Magic.
Denise will be joining Billy Ocean on his UK tour which runs for a month and kicks off on 5th May.
Talking about the tour Denise said, āItās fantastic to have the opportunity to support Billy on his UK tour. I remember seeing him perform live when I was very young and my Dad introduced us, so we became instant fans. A few years later we moved to Sunningdale where Billy lived, so we would often see him around. I guess heās going to have to get used to seeing a lot more of me again now! Heās still a great performer and I hope his fans appreciate my new work as well as the odd Five Star hit I may sing.ā
