Deacon Blue to play Forest Live shows

Deacon Blue are to perform three concerts as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live music series.

The Scottish band have won legions of fans over the years with their pop-rock melodies including hits such as Real Gone Kid, Wages Day, Fergus Sings The Blues and Dignity. In 2012 the band released their first album in over a decade which went Top 20.

Commenting on the Forest Live dates, Ricky Ross said, ā€œThis is a new adventure for the band. We are looking forward to bringing the full Deacon Blue live experience to these unique locations and we really hope you can join us.ā€

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income from the concerts is spent on improving the woodland for both people and wildlife.

Deacon Blue plus guests will be performing:

Saturday 28 June: Dalby Forest, Nr Pickering, N Yorks
Sunday 13 July: Thetford Forest, Nr Brandon, Suffolk
Saturday 19 July: Westonbirt Arboretum, Nr Tetbury, Glos
