Claire Richards to support Celine Dion at BST Hyde Park in July

Claire Richards has been confirmed as support for Celine Dion at BST Hyde Park on 5th July 2019.

Earlier this week it was announced that Dion would kick off this year’s event and after hearing tracks from Richards’ forthcoming debut solo album My Wildest Dreams, the diva personally invited her to support at the massive event.

Claire says ā€œI am so excited to perform tracks from my album with my live band. Performing at Hyde Park on the same stage as my idol Celine really is a dream come trueā€.

My Wildest Dreams is released on Friday 1st February (pre-order it now) and it’s the Steps singer’s debut solo record. Tonight Richards will perform album track These Wings, her personal favourite from the album, on Graham Norton’s BBC show.

Released via Sony Music, My Wildest Dreams has been in the making for three years. Richards worked with top pop songwriters on the album including Steve Anderson (Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue), Richard “Biff” Stannard (Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue), Cutfather (Christina Aguilera, Pussycat Dolls), Anne Preven (Katy Perry, Leona Lewis) and Mat Rad (One Direction, Olly Murs).

Talking about the album Richards says, “This album is literally beyond my wildest dreams ā€“ itā€™s something I’ve wanted to do since I was very young, singing at the top of voice along to my favourite artists in the mirror at home. I am so proud of this album ā€“ it was important to me that every song tells a story and is filled with real emotion and I think weā€™ve achieved that.ā€

Current single Shame On You is available to stream and download now. It was written by Cutfather (Kylie, Little Mix), Chelcee Grimes (Dua Lipa, Olly Murs) and Karen Harding.

At the end of 2018, Richards performed four sold-out shows around the UK where she previewed songs from My Wildest Dreams including the singles On My Own and End Before We Start.
