Music always plays a big part of any Christmas Day and finding the right CD for your family and friends can be tough.
As we’re a little over a month away from Christmas, we’ve put together a guide to the best pop albums that should be the top of your Christmas gift list this year.

Ariana Grande – Yours Truly
One of the breakthrough stars of the year, Ariana Grande combines a powerful voice with 90s-influenced pop R&B gems. The Way, Almost Is Never Enough and Baby I are just some of the highlights on this highly listenable release.
Britney Spears – Britney Jean
Britney’s album may not be out until 2nd December but it’s sure to be one of the big hits of the year. We’ve already heard Work Bitch and Perfume which show that Britney can still master both the dancefloor and a heartfelt ballad. We reckon this could be a corker.
Celine Dion – Loved Me Back To Life
One of the biggest divas in the world has put a contemporary twist on her powerhouse songs for a brand new album. Working with the cream of the world’s songwriters and producers, Celine hs really pulled it out of the bag. Your mum will love it.
James Arthur – James Arthur
Last year’s X Factor winner has delivered one of the strongest winner’s albums to date. James mixes old-fashioned soul with modern beats and has truly found a niche for himself. It’s likely if you’ve got a sister or brother in their late teens that they’ll love this one.
James Blunt – Moon Landing
Critics may find joy in constantly trying to bring him down but James Blunt remains one of the UK’s brightest stars. Moon Landing is a definite progression for James and it’s a solid collection of beautiful songs with a couple of surprises in there.
Katy Perry – Prism
The biggest star in music at the moment, Katy Perry ruled the charts on both sides of the Atlantic with her latest effort Prism. Featuring the huge hit Roar, buzz singles Walking on Air and Dark Horse, and new single Unconditionally Prism is big on killer tracks.
Lady Gaga – ARTPOP
Whilst the Lady Gaga backlash may be in full swing we still love her. ARTPOP is a bold, brave and adventurous record that her Little Monsters will love. If you want to give someone a good dose of proper pop then Lady Gaga is your obvious choice.
Little Mix – Salute
Little Mix finally deliver the album we’ve been waiting for and reinvent themselves as the successors to Destiny’s Child. Feisty, empowering and anthemic pop at its finest, this is perfect for any teenage female in the family.
One Direction – Midnight Memories
One Direction’s album is out on 25th November and we know it’s going to sell like hotcakes. Recent singles Story of My Life and Best Day Ever suggest the album will be business as usual but younger kids and early teens will be hoping for this on Christmas Day.
The Overtones – Saturday Night at the Movies
One for the Grans and Mums, The Overtones always deliver with their mix of popular cover songs and original material. Inspired by the greatest songs from the history of film, The Overtones new album will be a must-buy for the older females in your life.
