C2C: Country To Country 2015 will come to a close tonight with a headline performance from chart-topping trio Lady Antebellum.
The band launched this yearās C2C late last year by performing a headline gig at The O2ās Brooklyn Bowl following the line-up announcement. Lady Antebellum are no strangers to the UK and have performed countless times over the years.
Ahead of their performance tonight, Lady Antebellum sat down with press for a quick chat.
When asked why theyāve made the UK a permanent stop on their tours, band member Hillary Scott said, āThe fact that the fans continue to show up every time weāre able to be here. They know the ins and outs of the album and not just the songs on the radio. We just love it over here. It feels like a second home.ā
Charles Kelley added, āOur show last night in Dublin was one of my favourites that weāve had in I donāt know how long. Weāre going to bring some of the stuff that worked last night and a couple of surprises. People will notice a much more high energy show from us.ā
Long Stretch of Love is the new single from the band and theyāve been pushing for it for a while now. Charles explained, āWeāve been wanting to put that song out from the beginning. Itās where we are as a band.ā
Talking about touring the world and promoting country music outside the US Hillary said, ā We love being able to travel all over the world and performing songs. Need You Now open up doors for us. We will always be so, so grateful to country music. Our heart and soul is in country music.ā
Dave Haywood added, āIt feels like an exciting moment. I feel like country music is completely global now. People are diving into these songs and diving into these artists.ā
Lady Antebellum will close 2015ās festival and itās sure to be one of the best sets of the entire weekend.
