The 2014 BRIT Awards took place tonight at London’s O2 Arena with the stars turning out to witness all the action.
The night was packed with performances including a surprise one from Beyonce who sang her single XO and got the Internet buzzing with her understated performance. Other performers during the night included Ellie Goulding, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry.
One Direction walked away with two awards tonight – British Video of the Year and Global Success Award – whilst David Bowie and Ellie Goulding took away the biggest honours for Best Male Solo Artist and Best Female Solo Artist respectively. Arctic Monkey also had a successful evening picking up British Group and MasterCard British Album of the year.
