Black Eyed Peas release new album Masters of the Sun Vol 1

The Black Eyed Peas have released their seventh studio album Masters of The Sun Vol. 1 via Interscope Records.

To mark the release, the band has unveiled the music video for new track Dopeness featuring K-Pop star CL. Masters of The Sun Vol. 1 is the Black Eyed Peas’ first album in 8 years and it is produced entirely by band member will.i.am.

The album features guest appearances from Nas, Phife Dawg and Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, K-Pop star CL, Slick Rick, Nicole Scherzinger, and Posdnuos of De La Soul.

Over the past year and a half, Black Eyed Peas have been releasing a string of politically charged videos and tracks such as Big Love, Get It, Ring the Alarm pt. 1, pt. 2, pt. 3 and Constant.

In the last 2 years, the Pea’s have teamed up with leading national organizations: Hip Hop Caucus in partnership with Black Alliance for Just Immigration, #SchoolsNotPrisons, The Gathering for Justice, United We Dream and Revolve Impact, as well as March for Our Lives and Families Belong Together foundations respectively.

Black Eyed Peas comprises of will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo. Former group member Fergie has not returned to the line-up for this record.

The band has just kicked off their The Masters of the Sun Tour in London, which runs through to mid-November.
