Ariana Grande will release her new album Sweetener on 17th August via Island Records.
To mark the announcement Grande has revealed the artwork for the album and new Pharrell Williams produced track The Light is Coming featuring Nicki Minaj. Sweetener is available for pre-order now and fans who do pre-order will get No Tears Left to Cry and The Light is Coming as instant downloads.
The music video for The Light is Coming was directed by Dave Meyers. It marks the second time Grande has collaborated with Meyers this year as he helmed the video for No Tears Left to Cry too.
Sweetener is the follow-up to 2016’s Dangerous Woman and it will be Grande’s fourth studio album. To date the 24-year-old singer has achieved three Platinum albums and amassed more than 18 billion streams.
Grande has had 8 hits in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and she’s been nominated for four Grammy Awards.
Outside of music Grande has found success as an actress appearing most recently in the first season of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens and Hairspray Live! She’s also been a hit hosting Saturday Night Live and has over 200 million followers across her social media channels.
Recent single No Tears Left to Cry debuted at number 1 on iTunes in 88 countries. She is the first artist in music history to see the lead single from her first four albums debut on the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100.
