Annie Lennox will put her own spin on standards from the 1930s and 1940s on her new solo album Nostalgia.
The album, Lennox’s seventh solo album, will be released on 27th October 2014. Nostalgia was recorded in West London with long-time collaborator and co-producer Mike Stevens.
“I was just curious,” says Lennox about the song selection on her new album, “I thought, ‘I wonder what my voice would be like. Would these songs suit my voice?’ It was like a little challenge. I just sort of got to know them, became friends with them really and had a great deal of joy in the process.”
