Andy Cato announces solo release

Groove Armada’s Andy Cato is set to release new solo album Times & Places on 28th April via R&S’s imprint, Apollo Records (Model 500, Aphex Twin, Biosphere etc.)

Cato’s solo project was mainly recorded on the road and stretches from pre-Groove Armada years to the present. The first track dates as far back as 1993 whilst others were recorded on tour buses, airport lounges and other places. To get together Times & Places meant getting through piles of cassettes (old-school),  eight-track tapes, even old floppy disks and even C90s!

Times & Places begins at the UK squat raves era and Castlemorton, then moves on to warehouse parties, 90’s dance boom, early Groove Armada years and through to his gigs playing in front of 100,000 people.
