Andre Rieu is returning to the big screen with his 2015 Maastricht Concert it has been confirmed.
Known as ‘The King of Waltz’, Rieu had huge success last year with his record-breaking cinema event. Rieu and Worldwide Producers & Distributors of Event Cinema, CinemaLive have announced that his 2015 Maastricht Concert will be screened via satellite in over 500 cinemas in the UK on Saturday 18th July for one night only.
Last year’s 10th anniversary Maastricht concert set a new record for Event Cinema. It became the highest-grossing one night only music event in UK cinema history with takings close to £1 million.
Talking about the news Rieu said, “I am so delighted that my hometown Maastricht concert will once again be coming to cinemas in July! It’s going to be an incredible evening – and I can promise you it will be a musical night to remember. If you can’t join us in Maastricht, we will come to you, in your local cinema”.
