Much like LCD Soundsystem, Yeah Yeah Yeahs formed in the early noughties in New York. The band has recorded a humble four studio albums, the first, Fever to Tell, was released in 2003, it was followed by Show Your Bones, It’s Blitz! and Mosquito. The second, Show Your Bones, was released in 2006 and was named the second best album of the year by NME.
During their reign the Yeah Yeah Yeahs spawned multiple award nominations as well a few wins including best pop Award for Gold Lion by the BMI London awards. The band also performed heavily around the globe and became one of the first western rock acts to play in China when they headlined the Modern Sky Festival in Beijing in 2007. In 2014, the band called for a break until 2017. The band hasn’t released much new material so their performance at All Points East might be where fans discover the band’s new material or simply relive their biggest hits.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs are playing Friday evening at All Points East. They will join LCD Soundsystem, returning to the UK for a captivating trip through their acclaimed back catalogue.
