Aaron Watson releases Run Wild Horses video

Traditional country artist Aaron Watson has released the video for his latest single, Run Wild Horses.

The romantic clip features Watson serenading and slow-dancing with his wife of 15 years, Kimberly, in her music video debut. It was directed by Benjamin Ranzinger and filmed at Perini Ranch, one of the couple’s favourite spots in their hometown of Buffalo Gap, Texas.

Run Wild Horses is currently in the top 40 on the US country radio charts and receiving airplay worldwide. It’s also been streamed over 2 million times and has featured on playlists including Pandora’s Hot Country Now, Apple’s Hot Tracks and Randy Travis’ Diggin’ Up Songs on Spotify.

The song is taken from Watson’s latest album Vaquero, which was released in 2017 and gave Watson one of the ten biggest album sales debuts of the year. It debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s 200 Albums chart and at number 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The album was also featured in a number of Best Album of 2017 lists, including Whiskey Riff and Taste of Country. Lead single Outta Style reached the top 10 on the Billboard Country Airplay charts 50 weeks after it was released, breaking the record for the longest journey to the top 10.

Watson will be out on tour this summer in support of the album, including a handful of dates in the UK. He’ll make his UK festival debut at The Long Road Festival in September alongside artists including Carrie Underwood and The Shires, and will also appear in Glasgow, Manchester and London. These dates follow a string of sold-out shows in the US, which have seen Watson reach the Top 100 in Pollstar’s Global Concert Pulse as well as setting record-breaking attendances.

Originally from Texas, Watson became the textbook example of taking 10 years to become an overnight success when his album The Underdog debuted at number 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making him the first independent male country artist to do so. He’s released over a dozen recorded albums and has performed more than 2,500 shows in the US and Europe. including a sold-out UK tour in January 2017.
