Jimmie Allen has released the music video for his first single Best Shot.
Premiering on CMT in the US during the Hot 20 Countdown, the video is directed by Ford Fairchild. Taking the personal nature of the song to heart, the video looks back at Allen’s journey to becoming the man he is today.
Best Shot features family photos and home movies from his childhood, and gives fans a great insight into the breakout star.
“To me Best Shot is about accepting that we all have flaws, we all make mistakes and we’ll all experience a few bumps in the road but all of those hardships lead us to where we are today so at the end of the day, what really counts is that you’re trying your best and giving life your all,” said Allen. “My family has always been such a large part of my journey so it was incredibly special for me to incorporate them into my first-ever music video. It’s a really cool full circle moment to be able to share with them.”
Best Shot was inspired by personal advice from Allen’s grandmother and it was the 2nd Most Added song when it made its debut at Country radio.
The video arrives following Allen’s recent Grand Ole Opry debut and the release of brand new song 21. The new track is taken from a new collection of songs known as the Slower Lower Sessions and Allen will release a new song from the series each month ahead of his full-length debut album, due later this year.
Best Shot is taken from Allen’s self-titled EP, which was released late last year on BBR/BMG.
