Rising Country star Bailey Bryan has put her own spin on Drake’s Too Good.
The cover, which premiered on Variety, shows a different side to the singer.
“Pop, RnB, Country and Hip Hop have always been an influence in my music and writing,” Bryan said. “I’m a sucker for a great melody, cool phrasing and most importantly a story that evokes emotion. That’s what I want in any music I play, whether I wrote it or not, and this song has all of those things to me.”
Bryan started playing the song in her live shows after she was unable to get it out of her head. The response from fans led her to record the track in the studio and film a music video for it.
“It’s the part of the show where the band leaves the stage, and it’s just me and my guitar. It’s always my favourite thing to see people singing the words, or just listening a little closer to the stripped-down performance. To me, it’s continued proof that great songs translate in any setting.”
This autumn Bryan is on tour with Chris Lane as she continues to build her fanbase and showcase her music. The new tour follows recent runs with Kane Brown and Dan + Shay.
