Ward Thomas, Catherine McGrath, The Wandering Hearts and more attend EF Country’s A Star is Born screening

On Tuesday night EF Country teamed up with Warner Bros UK to host a special preview screening of A Star is Born on the eve of its release.

Now in cinemas everywhere across the UK, A Star is Born is directed by Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Silver Linings Playbook) who also co-wrote and produced the film as well as taking on the lead role of Country singer Jackson Maine. Starring opposite him is Lady Gaga as wannabe singer-songwriter in her first major feature film role.

You can find out our verdict of A Star is Born by reading our full review.

Taking place in the plush surroundings of Soho Hotel in London, our screening saw 100 attendees, including Country musicians, industry professionals, press and competition winners, arrive to get a special preview of the film before everybody else.

We were delighted to have some of the best artists in UK Country in attendance including Backwoods Creek, Catherine McGrath, Foreign Affairs, Holloway Road, Jade Helliwell, Jeannine Barry, Kimmie Rhodes, Lisa Wright, Liv Austen, Sally Rea Morris from Gasoline & Matches, Scott Nicholls, Two Ways Home, The Wandering Hearts, Ward Thomas and Worry Dolls.

Further adding to the evening we also welcomed the legendary broadcaster Bob Harris and Black Deer Festival founders Deb Shilling and Gill Tee.
