Two Ways Home premiere the music video for Outlaws

Two Ways Home have released the music video for their new single Outlaws.

The track is the first stand-alone single from the duo that isn’t featured on any of their previous EPs. The video was filmed with Dave Proud at Proud Media Productions, who previously shot the lyric video for Two Ways Homeā€™s previous single Best Part of Me.

Isabella Mariee, one half of Two Ways Home, says about the music video, ā€˜Outlaws is primarily about our human desire for material wealth. We came up with the video idea whilst playing a human sized game of chess and realised it tied in lyrically with the song but was also a good metaphor for the physiological struggle between owning lots of material goods because they make you feel good but also them effectively ā€œowningā€ you as some people canā€™t feel good without them.ā€™

Lewis Fowler, the other half of Two Ways Home, says: ā€˜The video cuts between this on-going chess game and scenes of Isi adorning herself in jewellery. For us these scenes represent the riches of the world and the hold they have over us. Ultimately she loses the chess game, which sums up the line: ā€œYou own diamonds like a Queen, but they rule you like a Kingā€.ā€™

Fans can see Two Ways Home performing at Zigfrid von Underbelly, London on 13th December 2017.
