Tom Russell to release Folk Hotel in September

Tom Russell is set to release new album Folk Hotel through Proper Records on 8th September 2017.

The album features new original songs plus a duet with Joe Ely on Bob Dylan cover Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues, which is one of two bonus tracks. Other guests on the record include Joel Guzman on Tex-Mex accordion (Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues), Augie Meyers and Eliza Gilkyson.

Folk Hotel was recorded at Congress House studio in Austin, Texas. The album covers wide-ranging subject matter including songs and stories about New York’s Chelsea Hotel, a journey up the road from El Paso to Santa Fe and a song fro Dylan Thomas.
