Steve Moakler has debuted the music video for his new single Suitcase.
The video is his first and was directed by Wes Edwards (Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley). Suitcase features Steve’s wife Gracie and it tells the couple’s real-life love story, which is reminiscent to Steve’s first encounter with the song, while traveling in a red camper playing shows with Gracie as part of his Hometowns & Campgrounds Tour.
Speaking to People.com, who premiered the video, Steve talked about casting his wife saying, “There has to be a girl in that video and I can’t imagine having another girl! ‘Suitcase’ gave us a lot of joy and hope – we were traveling around like gypsies and the idea was to capture that spirit in the video.”
He also reveals how he came across the song: āItās the first song I recorded that I didnāt write. I came at that song as a fan first, with Gracie. We had just gotten married ā it just felt like it was our song.ā
Suitcase is the first track from Steve’s self-titled EP, which is available to download and stream now.
