The three remixed versions are Red (EDM), Yellow (Pop/Funk) and Blue (Hot AC) and put refreshing spins on the Country hit. Marquee Sign was written by Evans with Jimmy Robbins and Heather Morgan and it warns of a love gone wrong.
“My roots are in Country and Bluegrass, but I’ve always been a fan of multiple genres of music and grew up being exposed to and loving Pop, Rock, R&B, and so much more,” shared Evans. “I truly believe that a great lyric can be taken in different directions and really love what Simon did with showcasing three totally different sounds from one original song. I hope my current fans and new fans alike have fun with these remixes!”
To mark the release of the Marquee Sign remixes, dancer Charity Lynn Baroni has choreographed a routine to Simon Reid’s Yellow remix. She filmed a video at the Millenium Dance Complex in Nashville which you can see below:
Baroni has appeared in many music videos, concert tours and TV appearances with Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Flo Rida and more. She also choreographed Evans’ music video for Marquee Sign.
Evans will be at CMA Festival next week where she’ll talk about her latest album Words in a presentation on the CMA Close Up stage inside Fan Fair X on Thursday 7th June. She’ll also be meeting fans during autograph sessions at the Opry’s Nashville Collection and the CMA booth at Xfinity Fan Fair X on the same day.
