Outlander release new single This Girl’s Fire

Outlander have released their new single This Girl’s Fire on iTunes and Spotify.

Written prior to the band’s performance at this year’s C2C: Country to Country Festival. This Girl’s Fire was inspired by the sound of modern Country in Nashville. Commenting on the evolution of the track the band says:

“We were extremely lucky to see a bit of Old Dominion soundchecking on the BBC Radio 2 stage; it sounded incredible, and really resonated with us! With this track, we wanted to take our time, and try to capture the modern sound of Nashville that’s coming through artists such as Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion”.

This Girl’s Fire was recorded in-house rather than in the studio to allow the band to hone the song/ It was recorded and mixed by the band’s lead singer Ali Garner, who graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Music Production.

Outlander hails from the North East of England and formed in 2015. They won Horizon Act of the Year 2015 at the British Country Music Awards (BCMA) in October 2015.

Outlander is: Ali Garner – Lead Vocals, Guitar, Keys; Alex Young – Lead Guitars, Backing Vocals, Keys; Brian Boyd – Mandolin, Banjo, Guitars, Backing Vocals; David Roughton – Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals; and Lowri Dowell – Drums & Percussion.
