Nashville Meets London 2017 Sunday guide

Nashville Meets London takes place this weekend and there are so many great acts that we can’t wait to see.

If you’re heading down you may want to check out our Saturday Guide, which takes you through all of the performers for the day detailing all the timings you need. For us, Sunday is looking like the stronger day of the two with a headline set by the UK’s very own Lucie Silvas.

We’ve pulled together all of the information you need to know, along with a bit of information about each of the performers on the line-up…

1.45 – 2.45pm – Angaleena Presley

Perhaps best known as one third of Pistol Annies alongside Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley is forging her own solo path. Leading the outlaw country genre, Presley released her latest album Wrangled earlier this year to widespread critical acclaim. The album explores the male-dominated Country genre, expresses frustration at the lack of commercial success and recognition she’s had, and aims squarely at the contemporary Country sound offering biting critique. Basically she’s awesome!

3.15 – 4.15pm – Flats and Sharps

Cornwall group Flats and Sharps are Kirk Bowman (Banjo), Mikey Ponsford (Mandolin), Josh Warner (Guitar), Liam Fitzharris (Double Bass) and Danny Hart (Fiddle). The group cross genres mixing Bluegrass, Folk, Country & Pop and they released their album King Of My Mind in 2016. They’ve cut their teeth on the live circuit and are building quite the buzz so make sure you make time to check them out.

4.45 – 5.45pm – Ashley Campbell

Not only is Ashley Campbell the daughter of the legendary Glen Campbell, she’s also a kick ass banjo player with some seriously mad skills. It’s been a little over a year since Campbell was last in the UK, when she performed at C2C: Country to Country, but during this show she’ll be previewing songs from her upcoming debut album.

6.15 – 7.15pm – Sam Outlaw

One of our favourites, Sam Outlaw is no stranger to the UK. He’s played shows over here twice already this year and now he’s back for another tour, with Nashville Meets London fitting in nicely. Outlaw’s brand of SoCal Country has way more in common with traditional Country than contemporary Country and it’s all the more refreshing for it. His latest album Tenderheart is one of the year’s finest and he’s sure to put on an incredible show.

7.45 – 9pm – Lucie Silvas

Our love affair with Lucie Silvas has been going on for well over a decade and she wowed the crowds at C2C: Country to Country earlier this year. In support of her latest album Letters to Ghosts, which is pretty amazing, Silvas will be headlining the evening and closing out Nashville Meets London. With a voice as incredible as hers and her skills as a songwriter, it’s certainly going to be a show to remember.
