Lucie Silvas has released her new single Kite, the first to be taken from her forthcoming fourth album E.G.O.
The empowering song is the first taster from Silvas’ new album and it’s a powerful, uptempo track that continues to mix genres and create something truly unique.
“I wanted to capture a womanās inability to be held down,” Silvas told Billboard when talking about the song. “That even without any real sense of direction of where she is going, she wants to be free to just go wherever the wind takes her. Her spirit can get her in trouble sometimes, but itās what keeps her feeling alive.”
Silvas’ UK fans got a preview of some of the songs when she toured in November last year. E.G.O., which stands for Everybody Gets Off, also features My Old Habits and Just For The Record, two singles that Silvas released ahead of her headline performance at Nashville Meets London last summer.
E.G.O. is the follow-up to Silvas’ 2015 album Letters to Ghosts, which was her first set of new material in almost a decade.
The track listing for E.G.O. is:
1. Kiteā
2. Girls From California
3. Smoking Your Weedā
4. I Want You All to Myselfā
5. Black Jeansā
