Lady Antebellum are headlining C2C: Country to Country for a second time as this year’s festival. The band sat down with the media to talk about their music and career.
One of the first Country bands to really focus on the UK in the past decade, Lady Antebellum have helped spread Country music in the UK. When being credited for leading the way Hillary said, “We feel we’re following in the footsteps of others that have paved the way for us.”
“We love to dig deep and take you on a journey,” Dave commented when discussing how UK fans react well to album tracks and lesser-known songs.
What’s something that people don’t know about the band? Charles said, “in this social media world we share everything.”
Dave added that his first job was an accountant, which he said he wasn’t proud of.
What can we expect from new music? “We’re kind of going back to the first record (sound),” Charles revealed. “I’ve been connecting with my spirituality again so the songs are a little deeper.”
He explained that the band has been through so many changes professionally and personally since they pushed musical boundaries on Heart Break.
“We’ll be pushing lyrical boundaries,” Hillary added.
Lady Antebellum headline on the Main Stage at The O2 Arena in London later today.
