Kip Moore kicked off his C2C: Country to Country return on Thursday night at the CMA Songwriters Series and today he’s performing on the Main Stage at The O2 Arena in London.
Before his performance Moore sat down with the press to discuss his new album Slowheart and his career so far.
Moore told us that he felt like Slowheart was a true reflection of his musical influences. ‘There’s a lot of different musical bloodlines that run through me. I’ve been waiting to write this record, and I produced most of this record by myself. You see a lot more of my influences on this record (than my other two),” Moore explained.
Over his career so far Moore has toured in the UK a lot but he admitted that it was ‘difficult’ to do it due to the costs. He went on to say, ‘the UK is so good for my soul… there’s been a love affair since the first time I played over here.’
Moore added, ‘I never got into music for the fame. I might move the people but the people move me just as much.’
He also teased that he’s planning to come back for a solo acoustic tour at some point in the future.
