Jillian Jacqueline releases new single Hate Me

Jillian Jacqueline has released the video for her new single Hate Me.

The Big Loud Records artist lays her heart on the table on Hate Me and the accompanying gritty music video premiered last week on CMT and Vevo. Hate Me was co-written by Jacqueline with Tofer Brown and Hillary Lindsey.

“Hate Me is such a moment of emotional exposure for me,ā€ reveals Jacqueline. “It was very stream-of-consciousness to write, and conveys a coping-mechanism perspective that compels me to take all of the blame for the pain that is about to be caused by a breakup. Hatred and anger make people easier to walk away from, so the phrase ‘hate me’ is actually a way of saving yourself from having to bear the sadness from breaking someoneā€™s heart.”

Hate Me is the follow-up to Jacqueline’s track Reasons, which has picked up over 2.32 million streams. It’s the second to lifted from Jacqueline’s forthcoming debut album, which is produced by Tofer Brown.

Jacqueline will bring her music to the intimate Sayers Club in Los Angeles on 1st June.
