Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit announce new album Live From The Ryman

Grammy Award-winning Americana group Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit have announced that they will release a new album, Live From The Ryman, in October.

The album is out on Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers on 19th October and was primarily recorded during the band’s six sold-out shows at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in 2017. It will feature live versions of songs from their critically acclaimed albums Southeastern, Something More Than Free and The Nashville Sound, and will showcase the group’s talents as a live act.

Additionally, the band have announced a new six-night run at the Ryman Auditorium from 22nd-28th October. They have sold out 14 consecutive nights at the world-famous venue since 2014 and tickets for the new dates are sure to go quickly when they go on sale on 15th June.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit’s most recent album, The Nashville Sound, was released in 2017 and won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, as well as Best American Roots Song for If We Were Vampires. They have also been nominated for four Americana Music Association Awards, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year (for lead guitarist/vocalist Jason Isbell), Duo/Group of the Year and Song of the Year (for If We Were Vampires).

The band is made up of Isbell, Derry deBorja (keyboards), Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass), Amanda Shires (fiddle) and Sadler Vaden (guitar). Isbell is also well known for his work as a solo artist and with the band Drive-By Truckers, and has been featured in Rolling Stone magazine and on AXS TV’s Off Camera with Sam Jones.

As well as their upcoming dates at the Ryman Auditorium, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit will be out on the road in the US and Europe throughout the summer. UK fans can catch them at Black Deer Festival, which takes place in Erridge, Kent from 22nd-24th June.
