Hunter Hayes has released the music video for his new single Heartbreak ahead of his upcoming C2C: Country to Country performance next month.
Directed by Colin Duffy, the video finds Hayes optimistically reliving the day over and over again to get one step closer to his true love. Watch the video below:
āItās all about growth, mystery and optimism,ā Hayes shared exclusively with Hollywood Life. āI think that sums up the album in a lot of ways, even though there are some sad songs on it. itās all an optimistic point of view for the most part, and the goal, even with the darker songs, is meant to be optimistic. I think thatās kind of been my spirit as I went through this past chapter and wrote about it and put it into song.ā
Heartbreak is Hayes’ first single in three years and it’s the follow-up to One Shot. In 2018 Hayes released the introspective Dear God, which has had over 23 million streams globally.
