Gasoline & Matches have released their new single Not Into Country.
The follow-up to their previous singles Fool’s Gold and If You Wanna Stay, Not Into Country is produced by Gavin Monaghan. Classed as a ‘late summer jam’, the track takes inspiration from Maren Morris and Taylor Swift.
‘This song was part of the process of getting over an ex-boyfriend. Itās the realisation that life goes on. Sometimes you have to take the lessons learnt and remember to just keep breathing because itās all going to be ok! …Even if they donāt give you your guitar case back!ā explains band member Sally Rea Morris.
Gasoline & Matches blend harmonies and guitar solos with energetic live performances. They were invited to share the stage with Phil Vassar on his April tour after catching his attention with their music.
The duo was shortlisted for Best Country/Folk Act in Birmingham Music Awards 2018 and received a nomination for Duo of the Year at the 2018 British CMA Awards alongside The Shires and Ward Thomas.
