Florida Georgia Line unveil new tracks Simple and Colorado

Just yesterday we were saying that Florida Georgia Line had new music coming soon and over night they’ve dropped not one but two new songs.

The band has unveiled new single Simple and a second new track Colorado. Simple is a Country-folk number driven by whistles and continues to evolve the duo’s sound away from the bro-Country they made their name with.

ā€œExcited to share the next chapter of FGL that weā€™ve been working so hard on,” shares Brian Kelley. “Simple is as simple as it gets ā€“ 4 chords and a lotta heart!ā€

Band mate Tyler Hubbard agrees, “We are always wanting to push our sound forward and never make the same record twice. We feel like weā€™ve upped our game on this project as well.”

Simple was written by Hubbard and Kelley along with Michael Hardy and Mark Holman. It was produced by longtime studio collaborator Joey Moi.

Colorado is a rock-Country hybrid that nods back to the band’s signature sound but with a contemporary twist. It’ll definitely sit nicely in their live set alongside their hits.

Both tracks are set to feature on the band’s upcoming fourth album, which is due for release later this year. The album is the first since 2016’s Platinum-certified Dig Your Roots.

Dig Your Roots spawned four hits – the 4x Platinum H.O.L.Y., the Platinum hits May We All featuring Tim McGraw and God, Your Mama and Me featuring Backstreet Boys, and the Gold-certified Smooth.

Florida Georgia Line are currently riding high in the charts with their Bebe Rexha collaboration Meant to Be. The track recently passed the 1 billion streams mark and it’s shaping up to be one of their biggest hits.

The duo broke through onto the charts in 2012 with their huge smash Cruise, which has been certified 10x Platinum in the US. Since then they’ve released three albums, all of which have been certified Platinum or higher, and they’ve established themselves as the leaders of contemporary Country music.
