Ferris & Sylvester kick off 2019 with new single Sickness

Duo Ferris & Sylvester have released their new single Sickness.

A bluesy folk fusion, the track has been picking up support from BBC Introducing and was premiered recently on Clash. Sickness was produced by Michael Rendall (Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Echo & The Bunnymen) and it’s a darker and deeper cut than we’ve heard from the band before.

Talking about the single Ferris & Sylvester say, ā€œSickness was one of the first songs we wrote together. It came quickly and felt powerful almost instantly. Itā€™s about human relationships – the power and the frustration – and the desire to throw it all away.

ā€œWe recorded the track on our last day in the studio with Michael and continued into the early hours; it felt important to keep it raw and let the song speak for itself. Everything you hear was tracked live and a lot of it was recorded in one take, the guitar solo and vocals for instance. Itā€™s our proudest piece of work to date.ā€

Sickness is the follow-up to Burning River, which has picked up over half a million plays so far on Spotify.

In February Ferris & Sylvester will play nine dates across the UK and Ireland, with a London headline show at The Lexington on 11th February. Full headline tour dates are:
