Ashley Monroe came over to Europe back in January for a series of live shows.
The run included shows in Amsterdam, Oslo, Glasgow and London with two sold-out shows at London’s Bush Hall. Monroe was also a guest and a presenter at the 2019 UK Americana Awards in London.
During the trip, Monroe kept a photo diary of her travels and she’s sharing them with us exclusively! Keep reading to see all the photos and find out what else she got up to on her trip…
We visited Amsterdam, Oslo, Glasgow and London on Tour. One of my favourite parts of it all was walking around each city and getting a feel for its character.
This Tennessee girl didn’t pack a heavy enough coat, so one of the first things we did in Amsterdam was go shopping. I found this amazing one at Aaiko and practically lived in it the rest of the trip.
On photo duty… trying to capture it all.
I played this tour solo acoustic, so it was just me and my guitar Louise up there on stage. (Yes, that case is called Seafoam and its as heavy as it looks!)
Getting in tune for the day at soundcheck…
My setlist for this tour…some old, some new, and some favorites by other people.
The venues we played on this tour were gorgeous. This was at St. Luke’s in Glasgow. Everyone on this tour listened to the music so intently, too. They really felt the music, and sang along to album cuts. It was something special.
Bush Hall. Wow. It was an honor to play two sold out shows here. And I got to switch things up for this one and play piano for a few songs. I love London and cannot wait to come back.
Walking the carpet at the UK Americana Awards in London. I had the honor of presenting the International Artist of the Year award to Mary Gauthier.
Ashley Monroe’s album Sparrow is available now through Warner Music Nashville.
