Dustin Lynch has scored his sixth number one single with Good Girl, which is hist first as both an artist and a songwriter.
Good Girl has topped both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay charts. Lynch co-wrote the track with Justin Ebach and Andy Albert.
āIāve never started the year with a #1 song, and Iāve got to say, this feels really good,ā Lynch remarked. āI moved to town with the dream of writing songs and singing on stage, and finally the stars aligned, and everything worked out. Iāve learned the lesson of perseverance, of hard work and continuing to hone your craft.ā
The achievement comes as Lynch gears up to travel to the UK to perform as part of C2C: Country to Country in London, Glasgow and Dublin. He’s also been picking up radio play on this side of the pond from BBC radio and Chris Country.
Good Girl is the first taste of Lynch’s upcoming album, the follow-up to his third studio album Current Mood released in 2017. The song has over 47 million streams to date.
Lynch’s previous number one hits include the Platinum smashes Small Town Boy and Where It’s At, and the Gold-certified chart-toppers Hell of a Night, Mind Reader and Seein’ Red.
In 2018 Lynch was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by iconic entertainer Reba McEntire.
