Chris Shiflett to release new solo album West Coast Town this month

Chris Shiflett, best-known as the lead guitarist for Foo Fighters, will release his new solo album West Coast Town on 14th April 2017 through SideOneDummy Records.

Having found success as a solo artist in the Alt Country scene, Chris has teamed up with producer Dave Cobb for the new record. The two met when Chris interviewed Dave for his weekly podcast at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A.

“When I left the studio,” Chris remembers, “I thought, I have to make a record with that dude. I was already a big fan of the records Cobb produces, and his setup was just so amazing.”

West Coast Town was recorded over three weeks during the summer of 2016. The album features Chris on electric guitar, Dave Cobb on acoustic guitar and percussion, and an an A-List collection of studio musicians, including Robby Turner (Waylon Jennings, Chris Stapleton) on pedal steel, Chris Powell (Brent Cobb, Jamey Johnson) on drums and percussion, Adam Gardner (Southern Family) on bass and Michael Webb (Southern Family) on keyboards.
