Carly Pearce is making her UK live debut at C2C: Country to Country this weekend. Before she took to the stage, Carly sat down with media to talk about her music.
“I started singing in Bluegrass bands around the Kentucky area. I convinced my parents to let me drop out of school at 16 because I saw a job advertised at Dollywood,” Pearce explained about her beginnings in music.
Pearce had a huge hit with her debut single Every Little Thing, the title track from her debut album of the same name. She’s currently climbing the charts with her latest single Closer To You.
The song is produced by busbee. While talking about him Pearce revealed, “in the last few years he’s really burst onto the Country scene. He produced my records, Maren Morris’ records and Lady Antebellum’s records but we all sound like ourselves.”
“You invest in artists, you don’t just invest in radio singles,” Pearce commented when asked about what she knows about UK audiences.
Carly Pearce opens the Main Stage at C2C in London at The O2 Arena later today.
