Cam made her return to C2C: Country to Country today, two years after her debut on the Spotlight Stage. She sat down with press before her performance to discuss her music and career.
Things kicked off with asking about Cam’s eagerly awaited second album. “The album is finished and I can’t tell you any more but it’s good,” Cam teased with a laugh.
“I can’t really explain it,” Cam says when I asked about her special connection with her UK fans. “I tell other artists come here because they’ll have the best show of their career.”
She also noted that she’s seen Country music grow extensively and rapidly in the UK over the past couple of years, and thanked the media for supporting her and the genre.
“I think the genre barriers were created by and for business purposes,” Cam said. “There’s something deeper than nationality that brings people together.”
Cam is performing on the Main Stage at C2C in London at The O2 Arena later today.
