C2C: Country to Country 2019 Spotlight Stage: Runaway June profile

BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records trio Runaway June have been likened to the mighty Dixie Chicks and we’ll get chance to see what all the fuss is about when they perform on the Spotlight Stage at C2C: Country to CountryĀ in March.

Runaway June – Naomi Cooke (lead vocals & guitar), Jennifer Wayne (vocals & guitar) and Hannah Mulholland (vocals & mandolin) – are currently working on their debut album and they are the first all-female trio in over a decade to achieve two Top 40 hits. They also picked up a 2018 ACM nomination for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year.

The three members met in Nashville and they wrote their debut single Lipstick together with Rebecca Lynn Howard, Caroline Hobby and Elisha Hoffman. The group released their debut self-titled EP in September and the lead single Wild West was a hit for them.

2019 looks set to be a bumper year for Runaway June as they head out on Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty 360 Tour along with Maddie & Tae. First though they’ll be heading to the UK for their debut C2C performance.

Runaway June will perform at C2C: Country to Country 2019, which takes place from Friday 9th March to Sunday 10th March 2019. For more information and tickets, visit http://c2c-countrytocountry.com.
