C2C 2019: 10 acts outside the Main Stage you need to see

C2C: Country to Country is a couple of weeks away and the excitement is almost too much to bear!

While there’s a lot going on inside The O2 Arena, as always, there are plenty of artists performing around The O2 that you need to make time to see. With so many performances going on, it can be hard to decide what to see and what to miss.

I’ve put together a list of 10 artists you simply have to make the time to see over the course of this year’s festival. Keep reading to find out who made the list…

1. Abby Anderson

Full of personality and boasting a very distinctive voice, Texas singer-songwriter Abby Anderson is set to be one of the most-talked about artists at C2C this year. Her single Make Him Wait is an absolute gem and I’m pretty sure she’s going to go down a storm. From what I hear she’s got a killer laugh too!

2. Adam Hambrick

I had a chat with Adam recently and he’s super excited to come over to the UK to perform for the first time. An artist very much on the rise, Adam co-wrote number one hits for Dan + Shay and Justin Moore, and now he’s making waves with his debut single Rockin’ All Night Long. He sounds completely different to every other male artist out there, and that’s what makes him special.

3. Caroline Jones

Multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and all-round talented lady Caroline Jones will be a breeze of sunshine and positivity during C2C. Her latest album Bare Feet is packed with catchy melodies and her songs are sure to provide a pick-me-up during even the wettest of UK days. Read my interview with Caroline.

4. Fairground Saints

Trio Fairground Saints – Megan McAllister, Mason Van Valin and Elijah Edwards – are all about the harmonies are I can’t get enough of them. Their current single California celebrates the place they’re from and to my ears it’s signalling the start of summer (in February). They’ve toured with Brothers Osborne, Kip Moore and Sara Evans (to name a few) so you know they’re going to be the real deal.

5. Jimmie Allen

You may have been obsessed with Jimmie’s debut album Mercury Lane but you’ve not experienced his true power as an artist until you see him live. He was so good during Country Music Week that he blew Chase Rice out of the water when he supported him at Bush Hall. With strong soulful vocals, plenty of charisma and the songs to back it up, Jimmie is one you want to catch now before he’s huge.

6. Lainey Wilson

The standout artist of Country Music Week, Lainey Wilson is an absolute hoot. Her songs are raw and emotional, her voice is pure magic, and her songwriting is out of this world. She’s the kind of artist that gives you goosebumps throughout her performance but her on-stage banter will leave you with a big smile on your face too.

7. Lauren Jenkins

Big Machine recording artist Lauren Jenkins has been touring since she was 15 and she’s on a one-way journey to super-stardom. Her debut album No Saint will be out in March so seeing her in an intimate setting at C2C is the perfect way to experience her before everyone else finds out how fantastic she is. Bobby Bones is a fan too!

8. Michael Ray

I’ve waited SO long for Michael Ray to come over to the UK and he’s really spoiling us by performing all over the place at C2C. Riding high with his second album Amos and his latest hit One That Got Away, Ray is definitely going to be one of the big hits of the weekend. Expect a few upbeat party tunes, some heartfelt ballads and maybe a mention or two of his fiancĆ©e Carly Pearce… Check out my recent interview with the man himself!

9. RaeLynn

Fans didn’t expect RaeLynn to be added to the C2C line-up, especially after she was confirmed as support for Maren Morris’ Girl tour in May. UK fans are going to be able to spend plenty of time with her this year and we’ll finally get to hear Love Triangle live, as well as her latest hit Tailgate.

10. Runaway June

Country music has needed a new female trio to compete with the legendary Dixie Chicks and Pistol Annies, and it finally has one with Runaway June. There’s been a lot of buzz about these ladies for months and C2C-goers are going to absolutely love them. One listen to those flawless harmonies and you’ll be hooked.

C2C: Country to Country 2019 takes place at The O2 in London from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th March 2019. For more information and tickets head over to https://c2c-countrytocountry.com.
