C2C 2018: Little Big Town profile

The UK just can’t get enough of quartet Little Big Town, which is a good job as the band will be back to headline the third and final day of C2C: Country to Country at The O2 Arena in London in March.

Just months on from their sold-out headline UK tour, which saw them play a date at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Little Big Town are bringing The Breakers Tour to the UK. The appearance will be fresh after their Grammy win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the Taylor Swift-penned Better Man.

Formed in 1998, Little Big Town are proof that hard work really does pay off. Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet and Kimberly Schlapman released their self-titled debut album in 2002. They scored their breakthrough hit in 2005 with Boondocks, the lead single from their second album The Road to Here. Since then the band has gone on to top the charts countless times and they’ve picked up a ton of awards.

Their biggest hits to date have included the catchy summer tune Pontoon, the all-conquering ballad Girl Crush and recent single Better Man. Girl Crush has sold over 3 million copies in the US alone and gave Little Big Town their best chart position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

Little Big Town have toured relentlessly over the course of their career to date. The band have been to the UK numerous times and they have performed on the C2C Main Stage twice, once in 2013 and again in 2016. It’s about time they graduated to headliner and they are sure to be one of the highlights of this year’s festival, and the perfect way to close it.

Fans can expect to hear plenty of songs from the band’s latest album The Breaker as well as hits from over the duration of their career. Little Big Town never disappoint and their solid live performances are a contributing factor to their longevity. With tighter than tight harmonies, plenty of personality and a flawless back catalogue, there’s pretty much nothing the band can’t do.
