C2C 2018: Kelsea Ballerini profile

Breakout star Kelsea Ballerini has been testing the waters here in the UK over the past 12 months.

Her debut album The First Time only got an official release last year ahead of her one-off headline show at Londonā€™s Under the Bridge. Following a rave reaction from fans and critics, Ballerini returned in October as part of Lady Antebellumā€™s You Look Good World Tour. She performed at arenas across the Country and she blew the roof off The O2 Arena in London when we saw her.

With second album Unapologetically dominating the charts around the world, Ballerini will return to the UK again in March as part of the C2C: Country to Country 2018 line-up. The singer-songwriter will be the penultimate act on the Main Stage on Day 1 in London ahead of headliners Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

In the US Ballerini launched in 2014 with her self-titled EP. The First Time followed in 2015 and achieved Gold status. It also launched three consecutive number one hits ā€“ Love Me Like You Mean It, Dibs and Peter Pan ā€“ as well as the Top 3 hit Yeah Boy. All three of Balleriniā€™s number ones achieved Platinum status in the US, a rare feat for a new artist.

In 2017 Ballerini launched her second album Unapologetically with lead single Legends, which has had a slightly slower climb on the charts. The song has reached the Top 10 at Country radio and the Top 20 on the Country Singles chart. Unapologetically gave Ballerini her highest chart positions to date debuting at number 3 on the US Country chart and number 7 on the all-genre Billboard 200.

As well as launching her second album, Ballerini also got married in 2017 to fellow Country singer Morgan Evans, who will also be performing during C2C in March. The two shared pictures of their wedding and honeymoon with People recently and it looked like one hell of an occasion!

2018 will see Ballerini head out on her headline The Unapologetically Tour and she just announced that sheā€™ll be joining Keith Urbanā€™s Graffiti U tour, which promises to be a mammoth jaunt throughout the year.
