2017 marked the year that Brett Young went from rising star to internationally recognised superstar.
Young will make his second visit to the UK in March to perform on the Spotlight Stage at The O2 Arena in London as part of C2C: Country to Country 2018. He will also perform at the after party of Friday 9th March 2018 alongside Australian breakout star Morgan Evans.
In October 2017 Young performed as one of the support acts on Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good World Tour. Even though his set was short and sweet, he made a big impact and when we caught up with him in London he expressed his desire to get back to the UK for some headline shows in 2018.
Young’s debut single Sleep Without You set the wheels in motion for his success as it was certified Platinum in the US and hit number one. He followed that up with the phenomenal In Case You Didn’t Know, which became his second chart-topper and sold more than 2 million copies in the US alone. In the UK we got a new version of the track featuring former The Saturdays singer Una Healy.
Recent single Like I Loved You became another number one hit for Young and to date it’s been certified Gold in the US. All three singles are taken from Young’s self-titled debut album, which has also hit Gold. He recently announced that the set’s fourth single will be the emotive Mercy and we can’t wait for the music video to drop.
Prior to his music career and signing to Big Machine Records, Young was set on pursuing a career in baseball but an injury changed his path. Several independent releases followed until Young signed his major label deal in 2015 where he sits on a roster that includes Midland, Thomas Rhett, Taylor Swift and Carly Pearce.
Last year he also embarked on his first headline tour, the Caliville Tour, with Carly Pearce in tow.
