Brett Eldredge confirms the track listing for festive album Glow

Brett Eldredge will release his first Christmas album Glow on 21st October 2016 and heā€™s confirmed the track listing for the collection.

The 11-track collection will feature a duet with Meghan Trainor on Baby, Itā€™s Cold Outside and original track Glow, which was penned by Brett. For the album the singer-songwriter has worked with producers Rob Mounsey and Jay Newland.

ā€œI originally had the idea for a song called ā€˜Glowā€™ as the vision of someone you love, making your whole world light up,ā€ Eldredge explains. ā€œIt captures the simplicity of sitting next to the dimly lit Christmas tree and watching her glow in the lights. Thereā€™s a line where I compare that to the image of ā€˜sunshine over a field of snow.ā€™ I grew up in Illinois and thereā€™s no mistaking the beauty of the countryside with covered in snow. And I always try and compare those beautiful things in life to love.ā€

The record was recorded at Avatar Studios in New York. Itā€™s the follow up to Brettā€™s 2015 release Illinois, which spawned the hits Lose My Mind, Drunk On Your Love and Wanna Be That Song.

“I’ve been inspired for this record from a very young age,” said Eldredge. “I dreamt of the day I could record all these classic songs that I’ve loved since I was a little kid. I recorded those classics in New York City and tried to give a tip of the hat to the ones that came before me – Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles – by adding that swing and that soul to the best of my ability. When it came to actually recording, I wanted to live in the experience. We hung Christmas lights in the studio in the middle of May and had musicians from the best bands in the world all in the same room – from horns to strings. Everyone was so inspired to make this classic record. I think it really shows in the songs and I can’t wait for people to hear that magic we found.”
