Ashley Monroe kicks off her UK tour tomorrow and she’s just announced that she’s releasing a new EP next month.
Sparrow Acoustic Sessions EP will be released on 15th February 2019 and it will feature five acoustic versions of songs from her fourth studio album. To celebrate the announcement Monroe has unveiled the acoustic version of Wild Love:
“It means a lot to be releasing the acoustic version of Wild Love while I’m in the UK, because the song was inspired by my very first trip to London. The confidence everyone had made me feel so alive. The fans here in the UK really listen and appreciate music so deeply and it brings me such an energy to be back playing shows here.”
Sparrow reached #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart upon its release last year and it was named on the end of year lists from publications such as Esquire, Billboard, Stereogum, American Songwriter, Nashville Scene and it made our Top 10 too!
Following on from a string of dates in Europe, Monroe arrives in the UK for three shows this week. She kicks off in Glasgow as part of Celtic Connections before performing two sold-out nights at Bush Hall in London.
The full UK dates are:
27th January – Glasgow, UK – Saint Luke’s (Celtic Connections)
29th January – London, UK – Bush Hall (sold out)
30th January – London, UK – Bush Hall (sold out)
