The annual Snow Ball came around on Modern Family and Claire (Julie Bowen) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) agreed to be chaperones for the night.
Jay (Ed O’Neill) tried to get out of going by pretending he wanted to spend time with Phil (Ty Burrell) instead. After Claire and Gloria leave, Jay admits he used Phil as a ruse to get out of going, upsetting his son-in-law in the process. Giving in Jay tried to spend time with Phil but soon agreed that they should go to the school instead.
At the Snow Ball, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) was upset when he thought his students didn’t like him, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) dealt with a mean boy, Claire and Gloria attempted to matchmake, and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Luke (Nolan Gould) dealt with their party going way over budget.
The next episode of the season is Ringmaster Keifth. Mitch gets a shock when Cam calls a concierge to save his ruined New Year’s Day feast. Phil’s dad Frank causes waves when he brings a date.
