DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 2×10 The Legion of Doom preview

The mysterious disappearance of Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) was explained on the latest episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Prior to his disappearance during the New York attack, Rip recovered the Spear of Destiny from the Waverider and used time travel to escape. With no memories of his former life, Rip was now working as a director alongside a young George Lucas in Los Angeles.

The Legends travelled to Los Angeles in 1967 to find Rip and they tried to save him from being kidnapped by Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Malcolm (John Barrowman). Rip was arrested by the police and the Legends abducted him from custody, taking him aboard the Waverider.

The aberration caused by the Legends, resulted in Lucas not pursuing a career in film-making, meaning that Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano) lost their abilities as they were never inspired by Star Wars as Lucas never made it. With the help of Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Ray and Nate tried to dissuade Lucas from turning his back on film and learned that he had a fragment of the Spear, which he’d thrown into a dumpster.

A face-off with Darhk and Malcolm followed and they found the fragment and recovered the medallion. Rip was kidnapped by Eobard (Matt Letscher) and held for interrogation over the other fragments of the Spear.

Elsewhere in the episode Lucas returned to film-makng and Mick (Dominic Purcell) came clean to Stein (Victor Garber) about his hallucinations.

The next episode of the season is The Legion of Doom. The Legends must find the Spear of Destiny before they can rescue Rip, while Malcolm and Damien realize that Thawne is pitting them against each other.
