Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) killed Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams) at the Justice Society of America headquarters on the latest episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
Following their arrival at the end of the season premiere, the Justice Society captured the Legends team believing them to be Nazi spies. Nate (Nick Zano) revealed that he was the grandson of JSA member Commander Steel (Matthew MacCaull), which started to win them over.
The JSA was assigned a mission to obtain information on Nazi Captain Baron Krieger (André Eriksen) and they urged the Legends to leave 1942. Taking their advice the Legends left but quickly returned when Nate discovered that the JSA would die on their mission. It was also revealed that Eobard gave Krieger a serum and wanted an amulet that was in Hitler’s possession.
The Legends collected the amulet but not before Krieger used the serum on himself to transform into a superhuman. He captured Ray (Brandon Routh) and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Ray offered to recreate the serum to save their lives.
The Legends and the JSA teamed up to attack the Nazi base but Nate was critically injured during the battle. Ray used the modified serum he made on Nate saving his life.
The next episode of the season is Shogun. Nate is shocked to learn that he has powers but then accidentally lands himself and Ray in a feudal Japan filled with samurai warriors.
