iZombie is coming back for season 4

iZombie has been renewed for a fourth season by The CW.

The severely underrated comedy/drama is currently airing its third season on The CW in the US and on Netflix here in the UK. The show’s ratings have dropped considerably from season 2 to season 3 but iZombie has a solid fanbase that is passionate about it.

iZombie stars Rose McIver, Robert Buckley, Rahul Kohli, David Anders, Malcolm Goodwin and Aly Michalka. The series is based on the comics by Chris Roberson and
Michael Allred, and was developed for TV by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright.

The show tells the story of Liv Moore (Rose McIver), a girl turned into a zombie during a party who takes a job as a morgue assistant. Each week she consumes the brain of a murder victim to help Detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) solve cases.

There’s no word yet as to how many episodes the fourth season will get but we think it’s safe to assume it’ll be 13, the same as the current season.

We’re delighted to hear this news as iZombie has really hit its stride creatively during season 3. Thanks to a stellar central performance by Rose McIver as brain-eating zombie Liv Moore, iZombie is one of the best shows on TV right now that more people SHOULD be watching!
